The Position:

Reporting to the Program Manager, the District Coordinator ensures the quality execution of malaria interventions in alignment with defined strategies. This role provides planning and technical backstopping to field teams through continuous communication and frequent field visits.

District Coordinator must Ensure:

  • Review and Analyse health MIS and provide analytical opinion for improvement in interventions
  • Provide technical input in planning, monitoring, evaluation and designing and redesigning of health-related programs/projects.
  • Provide support and technical input to senior manager in development of health-related concept notes and proposals.

 

Specific Responsibilities:

 

To have responsibilities of program at district level. Having responsibilities of planning, implementing, coordination and management at district level.

 

  • Planning, implementation and management of the project.
  • Ensure Monthly Report collection, review and processing in DHIS2 on monthly basis.
  • Review and verify the monthly logistic/supplies reports.
  • Ensure the administrative affairs are managed by the organization’s policy
  • Liaison with the project stakeholders for smooth implementation of project activities at district level.
  • Produce project activities reports, data Compilation, Analysis and Sharing of Report with manager
  • Developing linkages and close coordination with all stakeholders (DHO and PPHI) at district level.
  • Preparing the monthly work plans
  • Ensuring the activities are implemented well in time and quality of all activities will be maintained with its objectives.
  • Orientation and technical backstopping of malaria focal persons of public and private health facilities.
  • Support project manager in organization of engagement meetings at district level with stakeholders.
  • Documentation of all field level activities and share compiled data for monthly and quarterly reports.
  • Ensure supply of commodities (AMDs, RDT kits and other supplies) with proper record management
  • Regular monitoring and supervision of targeted health facilities
  • Financial management at district level.
  • Ensure the organization's Policy on Protection from Sexual Exploitation and Abuse and Sexual Harassment (PSEAH) Code of Conduct is actively in place and all staff are adhering to its provisions. Conduct/participate in monthly surveillance committee meeting with DHO, PPHI and TIH MEAL officers
  • Preparing activity reports and submitting them to the Head office
  • Ensuring transparency of his/her respective functions 

 

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and measurement:

 

1. Program Implementation & Strategic Alignment

 

  • KPI: 100% completion of monthly work plan activities within the specified timeframe and in alignment with defined project strategies.
  • Measurement: Percentage of scheduled activities (site visits, meetings, health facility supervision) completed vs. planned in the monthly calendar.

 

2. Data Integrity & Reporting Timeliness

 

  • KPI: 100% on-time submission of reviewed and verified monthly reports (DHIS2, logistics, and field activity reports) by the [Insert Day, e.g., 5th] of every month.
  • Measurement: Submission logs in DHIS2 and internal tracking of logistic/supply verification reports with zero "red-flag" data errors.

 

3. Supply Chain & Commodity Management

 

  • KPI: Zero stock-outs of essential malaria commodities (AMDs, RDT kits) across targeted health facilities through proactive inventory management.
  • Measurement: Monthly stock reports and verification of proper record management/ledger maintenance at the district level.

 

4. Stakeholder Coordination & Technical Support

 

  • KPI: Achievement of a 90% or higher satisfaction/engagement rate from district stakeholders (DHO and PPHI) and supported health facility focal persons.
  • Measurement: Participation rates in monthly surveillance committee meetings and documented evidence of technical backstopping/orientation sessions provided to public and private health staff.

 

5. Compliance, Finance, and Safeguarding

 

  • KPI: 100% compliance with organizational policies, including financial transparency and PSEAH (Protection from Sexual Exploitation, Abuse, and Harassment) protocols.
  • Measurement: Audit findings, financial reconciliation accuracy, and 100% staff attendance/acknowledgment of PSEAH Code of Conduct training and surveillance meetings.

Experience and Education:

 

Master’s degree, Social Sciences, or a related field, with at least 2 years of relevant professional experience. ("A bachelor’s degree may be considered if accompanied by significant relevant professional experience
