We are seeking a dynamic, creative, and results-oriented Media & Communications Coordinator who can bring stories to life, strengthen organizational visibility, and engage diverse audiences through impactful communication strategies. Key Responsibilities

Strategic Communication & Media Support

  • Support the Manager Media & Communications in planning and executing communication strategies and annual plans.
  • Coordinate media campaigns, special initiatives, and organizational announcements.
  • Prepare briefs, presentations, background notes, and reports for management and stakeholders.
  • Support monitoring, evaluation, and reporting of communication activities.

Media Relations

  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with print, electronic, and digital media.
  • Draft, review, and disseminate press releases, media briefs, talking points, and official statements.
  • Coordinate media coverage for events, initiatives, and campaigns.
  • Facilitate media visits, interviews, and press conferences.

Content Development & Documentation

  • Produce articles, success stories, case studies, newsletters, brochures, reports, and web content.
  • Document project activities, field interventions, and human-interest stories.
  • Ensure all materials align with organizational branding, tone, and editorial standards.

Digital & Social Media Management

  • Support development and implementation of digital and social media strategies.
  • Create, publish, and manage engaging content across Facebook, X (Twitter), LinkedIn, Instagram, and other platforms.
  • Monitor accounts, respond to interactions, and track analytics using social media tools.
  • Analyze performance metrics (engagement, reach, growth, conversion) and recommend improvements.
  • Coordinate with graphic designers and multimedia teams to produce high-quality visual content.
  • Ensure compliance with branding and donor visibility requirements.
  • Identify and engage influencers, partners, and media professionals to amplify messaging.

Events & Internal Communication

  • Provide communication support for workshops, trainings, conferences, and public events.
  • Coordinate photography, videography, and post-event communication materials.
  • Support internal communication initiatives, newsletters, and staff engagement content.

Coordination, Compliance & Record Management

  • Liaise internally with all functional heads and externally with media houses and media professionals.
  • Ensure compliance with communication protocols, brand standards, and donor visibility guidelines.
  • Support tracking and management of communication and social media budgets.
  • Maintain organized records of media coverage, analytics, publications, and communication assets.

 

Education, Experience & Required Skills

  • Master’s degree from an overseas or HEC-recognized institution in Pakistan in Communications, Journalism, Marketing, Public Relations, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in media, communications, public relations, or social media management, preferably within the nonprofit or development sector.
  • Proven experience in media liaison, content writing, and publication development.

Skills & Competencies

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to create compelling and engaging social media content.
  • Strong storytelling, editing, and attention to detail.
  • Basic knowledge of photography, videography, and graphic coordination (hands-on skills preferred).
  • Experience using social media management and scheduling tools.
  • Knowledge of social media analytics and performance reporting.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Strong multitasking, time-management, and deadline-driven work style.
  • Team player with the ability to manage multiple assignments simultaneously.
