Purpose

The Senior Communication & Liaison Officer is responsible for managing organisational communication, external liaison, and visibility of Inspire Pakistan.

The role leads development and execution of communication content, manages stakeholder engagement, coordinates with field focal persons, and ensures consistent and effective representation of the organisation across all platforms and engagements.

Key Responsibilities

Executive Communication & CEO Support

  • Draft official correspondence including letters, emails, briefs, and reports for the CEO Office.
  • Prepare talking points, summaries, and briefing notes for meetings and engagements.
  • Support timely communication between the CEO Office and internal/external stakeholders.
  • Handle sensitive and confidential communication with discretion.

External Liaison & Stakeholder Engagement

  • Act as focal point for communication with government entities, donors, partners, and external stakeholders.
  • Maintain regular follow-up on communication, commitments, and coordination points.
  • Facilitate meetings, consultations, and engagements with stakeholders.
  • Maintain stakeholder engagement records and communication history.

Communication Content Development & Management

  • Develop, draft, and manage communication materials including success stories, updates, reports, presentations, and visibility content.
  • Ensure consistency, clarity, and alignment of messaging with organisational priorities.
  • Tailor communication for different audiences including donors, partners, government, and public.

Social Media & Digital Presence

  • Manage and update organisational social media platforms and online presence.
  • Develop and post content based on field inputs, activities, and organisational priorities.
  • Ensure content is aligned with organisational messaging and visibility standards.
  • Coordinate with IT or relevant teams for website and online updates where required.

Field Coordination & Visibility Management

  • Coordinate with communication focal persons across field offices for collection of pictures, updates, and activity information.
  • Review, organise, and utilise field content for communication and visibility purposes.
  • Coordinate with Communication and Liaison Officer (KP) for regional visibility and alignment where applicable.
  • Ensure timely posting and sharing of field activities across communication platforms.

Meetings, Events & Visibility

  • Support communication and visibility for workshops, consultations, meetings, and events.
  • Prepare communication materials and coverage for events.
  • Ensure organisational branding and visibility standards are maintained.

Documentation, Tracking & Follow-Up

  • Maintain communication records, correspondence, and documentation.
  • Maintain and monitor action trackers for meetings, stakeholder coordination, and Executive Office engagements to ensure timely follow-up.
  • Ensure timely follow-up on communication-related actions and commitments.

Media & External Communication

  • Maintain and strengthen relationships with media outlets where required.
  • Support preparation of press releases and external communication materials.
  • Facilitate media coverage and visibility opportunities aligned with organisational priorities.

 

Coordination with Teams & Service Providers

  • Coordinate with programme and operations teams to gather accurate information and content.
  • Coordinate with external vendors (designers, printers, etc.) for development of communication materials.

 

Strategic Communication Support

  • Provide input on communication approaches for organisational initiatives and engagements.
  • Identify opportunities to enhance organisational visibility and stakeholder engagement.

 

Other Duties

  • Perform any other duties related to communication, liaison, or executive support assigned by the Senior Governance Coordinator or CEO Office.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Preferably Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Media Studies, International Relations, Social Sciences, or a related field.
  • Minimum 2–5 years of relevant experience in communication, liaison, stakeholder engagement, or similar roles.
  • Strong writing and drafting skills in English.
  • Experience in managing social media and communication content can be an asset.
  • Strong interpersonal and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and ensure follow-up.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and communication tools.
