Technical Services Coordinator

Lincoln Corner Islamabad

Salary: Starting at PKR 152,860 gross per month 

Working Days & Timings:

Monday to Friday, 10:30 AM – 7:00 PM (8 hours/day, including a 30-minute break; total 40 hours/week). Required alternate Saturdays. Flexibility for occasional evening or weekend work to support program delivery.

Reports To:

The position reports directly to the USEFP Senior Procurement Officer for all administrative, HR, and operational matters, and maintains a dotted-line reporting to the U.S. Embassy-appointed Lincoln Corner (LC) Point Person for technical oversight. The role collaborates with the LC Coordinator to ensure effective planning and program delivery.

Organizational Context

This role supports USEFP’s mission of fostering mutual understanding between the people of Pakistan and the people of the United States through educational and cultural exchange, public diplomacy, and digital engagement platforms such as Lincoln Corners.

Established in partnership with the U.S. Mission to Pakistan, Lincoln Corners are dynamic, multimedia resource centers located across Pakistan. These spaces are designed for young people to engage with and explore American culture, history, values, and educational resources.

Job Purpose

The role contributes to youth engagement, digital skills, and cultural exchange outcomes through innovative and high-quality technical programming aligned with U.S. public diplomacy objectives.

The Technical Services Coordinator works in partnership with the Lincoln Corner Coordinator to plan and organize programs centered on the Creator Studio and Maker Space. This role provides high-level technical expertise, encompassing audio-visual editing and full management of virtual programming platforms (e.g., Zoom, Google Meet). The position is split into two primary areas: 70% dedicated to Lincoln Corner Islamabad initiatives and 30% focused on managing technical operations and programming at the USEFP auditorium.

Key Responsibilities

1. Technical Program Coordination & AV Support (70% Focus)

Maker Space & Creator Studio: Lead the planning and execution of programs focused on the Creator Studio and Maker Space equipment.

Audio-Visual Production: Provide comprehensive audio-visual editing, photography, and videography support for digital content and program materials. Ensure all digital content complies with the U.S. Embassy branding and communication guidelines.

Virtual Program Management: Manage all technical functions for virtual programs, including hosting, troubleshooting, and facilitating sessions on Zoom, Google Meet, and other platforms.

Program Proposals: Prepare and submit at least two technical program proposals per month focused on STEM, digital skills, or creative technologies.

Resource Management: Oversee the management, safety, and maintenance of all technical resources, including the Startup and STEM Labs.


2. USEFP Auditorium & Tech Operations (30% Focus)

Auditorium Tech Leadership: Take full ownership of technical operations and A/V requirements for all programs held at the USEFP auditorium.

Operational Execution: Support the delivery of events within the auditorium, ensuring all hardware, sound systems, and software functions seamlessly.

Equipment Oversight: Monitor the condition and ensure the professional use of all technical assets and equipment within the facility. Implementing basic event-risk mitigation measures and coordinate effectively during emergencies.


3. Outreach & Technical Collaboration

Strategic Partnerships: Build and maintain relationships with technical stakeholders, academic institutions, and NGOs to expand program reach.

Network Recruitment: Establish a professional network to recruit technical speakers and drive innovative programming for the Startup Lab.


4. Documentation & Reporting

Data Reporting: Compile monthly statistics on visitor participation and the status of technical resources.

Feedback Collection: Gather and analyze participant feedback for continuous technical program improvement.


5. Compliance, Safeguarding & Ethics

  • Ensure adherence to safety and security policies, data privacy & protection, professional ethics, and compliance with U.S State Department rules and expectations.


Job Requirements

Education: Minimum 16 Years of Education in Computer Science, Information Technology, Social Sciences, or a Business-related discipline.

Experience: Minimum 3 years of experience in Technical Support, AV Editing, Event Management and/or Program Coordination.

Preference: Experience in Youth and STEM-based programming is strongly preferred.


Technical Proficiency (Required)

Virtual Platforms:

Zoom, Google Meet, Microsoft Teams, and OBS Studio.

Creative Suite:

Adobe Premiere Pro/CapCut (Video), Canva/Photoshop (Design), and Audacity (Audio).

Maker Tech:

3D printing software (Cura/Tinkercad) and basic coding (Arduino/Python).

Productivity:

High proficiency in Google Workspace and Microsoft 365.

Communication:

Excellent oral and written communication skills in English & Urdu.
