Procurement of consultancy firm for Post-Investment TA Support

1. Background:

Accelerate Prosperity (AP) is a joint initiative of the Aga Khan Foundation (AKF) and Industrial Promotion Services (IPS) of the Aga Khan Fund for Economic Development (AKFED) in Central and South Asia. It aspires to work towards a society that is powered by innovative and successful young entrepreneurs. Through its services, AP extends tailored training, advice, and technical assistance to aspiring and existing entrepreneurs to help them launch or expand their innovative business ventures. It also extends tailored financing to startups and small growing businesses (SGBs) to help them unlock external investments by improving their bankability and investment readiness. 

2. Program Overview:

Energy+ is a project financed by the European Union (EU) and implemented by Accelerate Prosperity (AP) under the Aga Khan Rural Support Program (AKRSP) and Aga Khan Foundation (AKF). The initiative aims to foster a climate resilient and low-carbon economy and society in Northern Pakistan, improving access to clean energy for more than 350,000 people in Gilgit-Baltistan and Chitral. The program promotes adoption of renewable energy solutions and sustainable business practices through the work that Accelerate Prosperity does in training, advising, and financing new businesses in the region.

3. Learning Outcomes

The training will be designed to enable seven (07) businesses in AP portfolio to effectively translate their existing investment and technical assistance into increased market access, stronger customer relationships, improved sales and revenue generation, and sustainable business growth. The programme will provide business owners with a practical understanding of the key financial, operational, and market considerations involved in scaling their businesses.

The Post-Investment TA Programme is tentatively scheduled from 29 November–1 December 2026, at Islamabad. It should focus on

• Business Growth: Identifying growth opportunities, strengthening market linkages, and improving customer acquisition and sales strategies.
• Scaling & Business Execution: Strengthening financial and operational management practices to support sustainable business growth and effective utilization of existing investment.
• Market Linkages & Revenue Growth: Strengthening market segmentation, customer acquisition, B2B/institutional linkages, sales pipelines, pricing, negotiation, and revenue-generation strategies.
• Action Planning: Developing 12-month business growth plans tailored to the individual needs and growth potential of participating businesses.

4. Request for Proposal:

Accelerate Prosperity Pakistan (AP-AKRSP) invites sealed proposals from interested and eligible suppliers for the procurement.
