CHIP invites Technical and Financial Proposals from qualified consultants, firms, or theatre groups for the design and delivery of culturally appropriate puppet and theatre shows to raise community awareness, address myths and misconceptions, and promote accurate information regarding HPV and RI vaccination in Swabi, Bannu Lakki marwat and Peshawar Districts, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. Time line for the assignment is Oct-Dec 2026.

Scope of Assignment

The selected consultant/firm will be responsible for:

• Developing culturally appropriate and engaging puppet/theatre scripts based on key HPV and RI messages provided and approved by CHIP.

• Designing performances that address common myths, misconceptions, misinformation, and community concerns regarding HPV and RI vaccination.

• Conducting rehearsals and incorporating CHIP's feedback before field implementation.

• Conducting the agreed number of puppet and theatre shows in selected communities of Swabi and Bannu.

• Arranging all necessary logistics for each performance, including sound system, seating arrangements, costumes, puppets, props, performers, transportation, and other required materials/equipment.

• Ensuring culturally sensitive, respectful, and safeguarding-compliant performances.

• Providing brief documentation/reporting of completed activities.

Required Experience

Applicants should demonstrate:

• Relevant experience in puppet shows, community/street theatre, edutainment, or similar community awareness interventions.

• Experience in health communication, social and behaviour change communication (SBCC), or community mobilization will be preferred.

• Experience working with local communities in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

• Capacity to develop and deliver performances in Pashto/local languages.

• Availability of experienced performers/puppeteers and necessary technical and logistical arrangements.

Technical Proposal

The Technical Proposal should include:

• Understanding of the assignment.

• Proposed methodology and creative approach.

• Proposed implementation/work plan and timeline.

• Proposed team composition and relevant experience.

• Previous experience in similar assignments.

• Samples, links, photographs, or other evidence of previous puppet/theatre performances, where available.

Financial Proposal

The applicant shall submit a detailed financial proposal indicating the cost per show and total cost of the assignment.

The quoted cost must be all-inclusive and cover all costs associated with the assignment, including consultancy/professional fees, performers, script development, rehearsals, transportation, sound system, seating arrangements, costumes, puppets, props, equipment, and all other logistical and operational costs required for successful delivery of the shows.

No additional logistical or operational costs will be borne by CHIP beyond the agreed contractual amount.
