Project Management:
-
This Position will serve as Provincial Climate change Lead and will Support Deputy Director Climate Change Adaptation in planning, implementing, Monitoring and reporting of Climate Advocacy and Coordination for Resilient Actions (CACRA-III) Project Under the direct supervision of Manager Operations Sindh
-
Plan and implement project activities in the province in consultation with DD CCA PRCS NHQ.

Ensure due compliances related to activity reporting, financial, and procurement processes when and as required.

Assist in drafting Terms of Reference (ToR) to specify needed project services – in collaboration with the project team.
-
Organize and conduct relevant advocacy events including Consultation, Validation workshops & training events with stakeholders across Sindh Province.
-
To facilitate comprehensive stakeholder mapping analysis at provincial level and develop and implement stakeholder Engagement Plan mentioned in Project Proposal and update that dataset regularly.

Train PRCS staff and volunteers on Climate Smart Programing in most Vulnerable Districts of Sindh

Any other task assigned by the line Manager.
Coordination
-
Coordinate with PRCS Project Managers including LLA, RFL, Health, Y&V, DM for mainstreaming Climate Change into ongoing Projects in the province and ensure implementation of PRCS Climate Change Strategy

Coordinate with relevant stakeholders to showcase Climate Advocacy and Coordination interventions at all levels.

Provide substantive support to consultative meetings, conferences including proposing policy level support, recommendations, Gaps, preparing agenda, identifying participants, preparing documents and presentations, etc.

Coordinate with provincial level external stakeholders including Ministry of Climate Change and Environmental Coordination, Planning and Development, SEPA, PMD, Forest, PDMA and movement partners Project staff based in PHQ

PMER (Planning, Monitoring, Evaluation & Reporting)
-
Ensure adequate project documentation, archiving the best practices, and regular narrative reporting according to agreed deadlines.

With support of technical lead at NHQ, ensure that relevant data (people reached, beneficiary feedback/opinion, stories, photos etc.) is gathered promptly and stored properly.

Coordinate with PRCS PMER unit as well as GRC PMER unit for planning PMER-related tasks, data sharing, and reporting.

Ensure that Means of Verification (MoVs) against all indicators are documented, accessible to all, and managed properly.

Assist DD- Climate Change Adaptation in the development of research-based reports and articles as inputs to publications, press releases etc.

Organize peer-to-peer learning events with the CACRA team as well as other PRCS employees for sharing learning and best practices.

Master’s or BS (16 years) of education in social sciences preferably in Environmental sciences or in Climate Change and Sustainable Development, Climate Change and Environmental informatics, disaster management, Development studies, Project Management or relevant field. (Required)

Minimum 3 years of experience working with Humanitarian sector in the field of Climate Change with community resilience building processes. OR 5 Years of working Experience in Development Sector on managing Disaster Management Projects (Required)

Experience in Monitoring and Evaluation along with project management (Desired)
-
Proven experience in mainstreaming/integrating climate change adaptation into humanitarian response planning, DRM/DRR projects and operations. (Desired)

Proven experience of working closely with Government of Pakistan entities, I/NGOs, CSOs, their coordination networks and platforms, and in forming evidence-based partnerships with relevant stakeholders. (Required)

Knowledge of and experience with organizational development processes would be an asset. (Desired)

Demonstrable experience with urban DRR/, urban humanitarian action is considered an added advantage. (Desired)

Strong English writing, presentation and negotiation skills. (Required)

Equally adept at working individually and as part of a team. (Desired)

Availability for visits to multiple Districts of Sindh. (Required)
