Introduction:

An international nonprofit organization that works with people around the world to empower the disadvantaged, increase economic opportunity, and sustain natural resources seeks applications for the position of Grants Manager.

 Job Description:

  • Grants Managers provide support for policy guidance and interpretation for staff as well as grantees, and analyze and evaluate grant applications, proposals, and awards to ensure adherence to grants management policies.
  • Ensure proper negotiation of the terms and conditions for grants and views and analyzes budget estimates for consistency.
  • Prepare documentation for grant evaluation and approvals.
  • Prepare grants’ agreements and ensure required documentation completion as per the agreement and ensure diligent follow-up on grant reports.
  • Review grant applications to ensure they match the grants manual and the Project’s objectives.
  • Identify and share best practices of implementation and management of grants.
  • Conduct pre-award audits of possible grantee organizations, in addition to audits during implementation and at close-out, as needed and identified in the Grants Manual and in coordination with the Director F&A.
  • Monitor financial management of grant funds to ensure consistency with agreed technical plan and actual implementation and monitor the projected expenditures against their actual incurrence.
  • Provide monthly reports on grants budget for donor.
  • Monitor technical implementation of grants to ensure timely progress and according to submitted technical reports, proposed strategy and work plans.

Relevant Experience:

  • Must have Master’s degree in economics, finance, business administration or a related field.
  • 4-5 years of experience in soliciting for grantees, awarding grants and managing and mentoring grantees for results.
  • Experienced in USDA/USAID regulations and procedures.
  • At least 3 years of professional work experience with an international organization that implements development or humanitarian projects.
  • Excellent computer skills (word-processing, spreadsheets, and databases) are required.
  • Strong analytical and report writing skills.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills in English.
  • Willing to travel to all project locations in Sindh & Punjab.
