The Aga Khan Rural Support Programme (AKRSP) is an institution of the Aga Khan Development Network (AKDN) established by the Aga Khan Foundation in 1982. AKRSP has been working in Gilgit Baltistan and Chitral of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Pakistan with the overall goal of improving the quality of life of the people in the programme area.
The AKRSP is seeking applications from caliber professionals having domicile of Hunza, Nagar, Ghizer, Gilgit & Astore Districts for the position of SITE Civil Engineer based in Area Office Hunza/Nagar.
Job Purpose:
Develop cost estimates of land development projects through involving the community institutions, timely implementation and provide technical guidance to V/WOS during construction of irrigation channels.
Job Description:
- Survey and cost estimation of irrigation channels and land development sites to implement through V/WOs
- Monthly and quarterly physical progress reports
- Supervise and monitor implemented infrastructure projects
- Maintain time sheets and send payment requests timely
- Check quality of local and non-local materials
- Generate Good Receiving Notes of material
- Process the procurement of material as per AKRSP policy
- Provide technical guidance to V/WOs during construction of irrigation channels.
- Any other responsibility assigned by supervisor.
Required Experience: Candidate must have minimum 2 years of relevant experience with an institute of repute.
Education: BSc Civil/ BTech Civil
Special skills required:
- Auto CAD,
- Total Station operation,
- Other civil engineering software and MS Office
