ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The primary role of Maintenance & Housekeeping Officer will be to oversee all installations, inspections, repairs and upkeep operations of the company’s facility, in particular the building infrastructure, utilities and electrical installations (HVAC, Generators, UPS, Communications /CCTV Eqpt). Some of the common daily tasks include:
- To plan and perform regular visits to building facilities and identify/analyze maintenance requirements and arranged remedial measures.
- To plan and perform detailed annual maintenance assessments for each property and report upkeep requirements.
- To attend and present reports to meetings of residents on maintenance matters, including services if necessary.
- To undertake any other duties delegated by the Senior Manager Maintenance.
- To play a key role in the day-to-day delivery of the repairs and maintenance services.
- Liaise closely with Housing Management staff and have a dual responsibility with estate inspections and services.
- Carry out pre and post inspections for repairs
- Monitor response times regularly for completing repairs in order to measure contractor performance.
- Oversee the work of approved contractors in a professional manner and regularly review their performance.
- Supervise activities such as sweeping, mopping, dusting and floor/furniture polishing
- Protect equipment and make sure there are no inadequacies
- Notify superiors of any damages, deficits and disturbances
QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
Minimum 03 years of Diploma in Associate Engineering (Electrical / Electronics) or any other related field from a reputable educational institution.
PREFERRED SKILLS
- Proven experience as maintenance officer or other managerial role
- Experience in planning maintenance operations
- Solid understanding of technical aspects of plumbing, carpentry, electrical systems etc.
- Working knowledge of facilities machines and equipment
- Ability to keep track of and report on activity
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
PREVIOUS EXPERIENCE
- At least 8 years of relevant professional experience.
ADDITIONAL NOTES
- The successful candidate will undergo a 2‐3 months training period during which s/he will be on probation. The final appointment will be confirmed after completion of the training period.
