Uplifting Persons with disabilities through improving their livelihoods

Title: Hiring of services of consultant to conduct employment opportunities assessment and develop business plans in three districts for the persons of disabilities

Expected Outcome

-          Increasing livelihoods opportunities for the persons with disabilities in the light of 8.5 of THE SDGs

-          Engaging persons with disabilities in earning activities and to linked them with financial institutions and other stakeholders

Responsibilities of Consultant The consultant will come up with

• Conduct potential employment opportunities assessment
• Analysis of Existing Entrepreneurs and employment opportunities
• Business Types
• Existing participation of persons with disabilities in Businesses
• Barriers, challenges and support requirements for full and meaningful participation of persons with disabilities
• Market competitors Analysis (in response against the planned business interventions for the persons with disabilities
• Costing and Pricing
• Marketing Strategy
• Procurement of Raw Martials
• Terms of Purchases
• Promotion Strategies
• Marketing
• Development of business plans for 60 selected beneficiaries (the BPs will be developed jointly with each beneficiary)
• Conduct on spot training sessions with the beneficiaries
• Identification of the financial / social institutions providing financial loans without or with minimum interest rates to the persons with disabilities according to their business plans
• The consultant will provide with all required information regarding the procedures of application, interest rate other charges and reimbursement plan and the level of accessibility for various types of disabilities

Deliverables:

• Employment opportunities assessment report (including all above mentioned)
• 60 different potential business plans developed according to the capacities of persons with disabilities and gender
• On-spot training sessions report

Responsibilities of HI Pakistan:

1. HI will pay the consultancy fee according to its financial policies and procedures
2. HI will provide the support in field level coordination and meetings through its partner DPOs

Duration of the Assignment

The assignment is expected to take 90 days, from the date of signing the contract Requirement

-          The consultant must have respective background and expertise

-          He/she should have at least 10 years’ relevant experience

Contents Property/Copy Rights

All information pertaining to this project belonging to the client (HI), which the consultant may come into contact with in the performance of its, duties under this contract shall remain the property of HI who shall have exclusive rights over their use. Except for purposes of this assignment, the information shall not be disclosed to the public nor used without written permission of the Client in line with the national and International Copyright Laws applicable.

Proposal and presentation:

Interested consultant shall share their proposals and budgets. The proposal should contain experience of the person, assignment of similar nature, his/her profiles including their experience. Based on the proposal and budget, consultant will be selected for the assignment.

Payment Plan:

• Payment process will be finalized in consultation with the consultant
  • Final clearance will be made subject to receiving final deliverables Terms & Conditions
  • Quoted prices for the above items shall be inclusive of all kind of govt. taxes and duties as per prevailing Tax Laws of Govt. of Pakistan.
  • All prices must be quoted in Pak rupees.
  • Withholding tax & GST as per government prevailing rates shall be deducted at the time of payment.
  • Payment shall be made in the form of cross cheque within 1 month after execution of order and subsequent submission of the invoice to HI Pakistan.
  • HI reserves the right to reject any or all quotations without assigning any reason thereof
