The Aga Khan Rural Support Programme (AKRSP) is an institution of the Aga Khan Development Network (AKDN) established by the Aga Khan Foundation in 1982. AKRSP has been working in Gilgit Baltistan and Chitral of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Pakistan with the overall goal of improving the quality of life of the people in the programme area.

The AKRSP is seeking to hire a high calibre professional for the position of Specialist M&E to be based in Core Office Gilgit.

Job Purpose:

To manage project surveys and data, and prepare plans, reports and studies undertaking for this project on time. The incumbent will formally report to the Project Manager and technically to the Programme Manager M&E of AKRSP.

Job Description: 

Major responsibilities of the Specialist M&E are as following:

  • Lead, facilitate and coordinate with field offices and project manager in planning, monitoring and evaluating the activities.
  • Lead and facilitate surveys (IDS and LMA) conducted by PCP and other partners
  • Lead and facilitate project staff in conducting PWR and PSC and compile data
  • Lead and ensure timely production of all progress, annual and donor reports in collaboration with Project Manager and APMs.
  • Prepare minutes of project meetings (internal and with donors)
  • Keep project data in presentable manner and provide project manager as well as to SMF on regular basis
  • Support field staff in collecting and reporting project data.
  • Lead in organising training to enumerators on PSC
  • Compliance with documentation and reporting requirements specified by the supervisor.
  • Any other responsibilities allocated to the jobholder.

Required Experience: 1 to 2 years experience in the field of community development.

Education: Masters’ in Social Sciences, preferably in Economics from a highly reputable university (within Pakistan or abroad)

Preferred Criteria:

  • Strong research skills (both qualitative and quantitative data analysis and report writing)
  • Project formulation and management, Monitoring and Evaluation.
  • A degree from a reputable foreign university
  • Female candidates with relevant qualifications and experience
  • Ability to design and implement large scale surveys in the field of rural development and public health sectors.
  • Fluent in English and Urdu.
