Main Responsibilities:

 

  • Under the supervision of Program Support Manager, the Program Officer will primarily be responsible for effective and efficient implementation of project activities as per WEE’s  approved design and identified strategies in consultation with GBV Coordinator and team.
  • Support the Program Officer (WEE) in the creation of selected groups for livelihood activities.
  • Ensure observance and respect to the dignity of beneficiaries, careers and members of the community at all times.
  • They will be trained by Program Officer (WEE) on data collection & interpretation of information received from the beneficiaries. 
  • Will supports in the implementation of training modules for all stakeholders.
  • Assist in preparation of plan of action for effective implementation in consultation with team.
  • Ensure observance and respect the dignity of beneficiaries, careers and members of the community at all times.
  • Update project information and provide necessary support in developing relevant project documentation, including project activities reports, success stories as per WEE project ‘s indicators and requirements etc.
  • Collect, compile, and disseminate, timely follow-up of project work plan and assist in preparing periodical reports on the prescribed formats.
  • Assist the project team in day to day operational and administrative matters.    

 

Other duties as assigned:

Qualifications & Experience

  • University degree in development studies, Social Sciences, Communication or equivalent with experience in social work and/or other relevant discipline.
  • Previous NGO experience in implementing Women Empowerment projects will be an edge.

  • Excellent communications skills, both oral and written.
  • Excellent self-motivation skills
    • Demonstrated analytical, motivational, communication, project conceptualization and planning skill
    • Extremely flexible, and have the ability to cope with stressful situations and frustrations
    • Ability to relate to and motivate staff effectively
    • Excellent decision-making skills
    • Must work independently under difficult conditions
    • Strong writing and presentation skills
      • Fluency in spoken Regional Languages. Communication in National & International Language will be an edge.
