Job Description- Protection Officer (01 Male & 01 Female)
Project Title: Promoting women empowerment through protection and livelihood services
Job Location: Peshawar and Nowshera
Gender: Both men and women can apply; qualified women are encouraged to apply.
Core Job Responsibilities/Specifications: The Protection Officer responsibilities/specifications include but are not limited to the following:
- Maintain and update required reporting formats on protection monitoring.
- Participate in protection assessment in project areas and to ensure high level of communication and coordination with support teams.
- Responsible for collecting all necessary documents on protection.
- Submit weekly report to program section on relevant events regarding monitoring findings and related issues on protection.
- Update the protection monitoring database with planned and actual monitoring visits and update timely.
- Identify any apparent issues in the program and report them to the appropriate personnel.
- Be able to work with the Afghan Communities and visit to the related areas for protection of concerned.
- Find the protection gaps evaluate the impact of the assistance and draw lesson that can be useful in improving the overall intervention on protection.
- Develop regular plan and report of the performed activities through email.
- Asses the context and current situation of Gender-Based Violence, teenage pregnancies, child labor, access to education, human rights violations and other protection related issues
- Facilitate Community Action Planning workshops when necessary
- Mobilize and organize Community Based Protection Committees. In conjunction with the Protection Committees identify and document human rights violations refer cases to the supervisor/manager and provide regular follow-up on each case.
- Present weekly progress reports, and perform related duties in professional manner as required.
Qualifications/Experience Required:
- Masters in Social Sciences or related field.
- Minimum 3 years of relevant working experience in INGO or NGO.
