Background:

Pakistan Humanitarian Forum is an independent and non-partisan organization is working in Pakistan for last one decade. Since its inception, it has started representing, facilitating, and supporting humanitarian assistance and long-term development program/operations of its member organizations (INGOs). The purpose of the forum is to coordinate and communicate the impactful work of its member organizations with relevant stakeholders and provide a platform to INGOs to take collective position on development and humanitarian needs and initiatives in the country. Currently, it is representing 40 INGOs along with 8 affiliate member that includes ICRC and IFRC as well. The Pakistan Humanitarian Forum is advertising the position of Human Resource Officer to support the PHF office

 

  • To support the FAM in the development of effective and efficient organisational structure in line with PHF strategic objectives.
  • To provide support and information to Management and Employees on policies and procedures as well as staff rules and guideline.
  • Assist FAM in Coordination with heads of Program / or offices to ensure cooperation in the efficient implementation of PHF policies and procedures including HR policies and procedures.
  • To carry out recruitment and selection of staff in compliance with PHF policy including support to the supervisor for the assessment of new hires.
  • To assist in maintenance of staff records tracking academic history, employment history, credentials, training etc.
  • To support the FAM in the development of an effective and efficient organisational structure in line with PHF strategic objectives.
  • To provide support and information to Management and Employees on policies and procedures as well as staff rules and guideline.
  • - Manages and maintains PHF staff records, including performance appraisals, leave records and personal files
  • etc.
  • - Support recruitment processes and ensure HR policies and procedures are in place and adhered to for
  • national and international staff
  • To regularly develop and maintain the HRIS module which includes data input, Updating and coordination with Software consultant on system upgrade and its integration with other program as per management request.
  • Assist FAM in the implementation of the Performance Appraisal Mechanism.
  • Facilitate External Audits (ISO, Resource Management, Donors etc).
  • Suggest ways to improve and promote healthy working environment.
  • To update and circulate HR analysis report periodically e.g. Data Diversity data, Staff Training & development on a quarterly basis.

Other

  • Perform other duties, as necessary and/or as requested

 

  • Represent PHF positively and professionally in both internal and external relations and situations.

 

Person Specifications:

Education

  • Bachelor or master’s degree in human resources or from recognized university.

Experience

  • 3-5 years of relevant professional experience within International NGOs, NGOs, or similar organizations will be preferred.

Skills Required

  • Relevant technical skill in the area of Human Resources is essential.
  • Identifying and attracting competent staff.
  • Good Interview skills.
  • Good Training Facilitation skills.
  • Good communication & Interpersonal skills.
  • Good writing skills. 
  • Ability to work independently and ability to take initiatives.
  • Ability and willingness to travel independently and at short notice in the region is required to fulfil the organizational needs
