Role overview

Implement and monitor operational financial management of country office including cash, banks, expense preview, payroll, data posting and financial systems in order to ensure that the VSOP finances are maintained in an accurate and timely manner. Support in audits and donor verifications.

Skills, qualifications and experience

Essential:

Qualifications:

• Qualified accountant or master’s degree in finance or sixteen years of education in related discipline.

Experience:

• At least 5 to 7 years’ experience of managing grants and partnerships.
• Good technical accounting skills – Experience of managing partner organization in financial planning, bookkeeping practice and principle, knowledge of internal controls, general ledger, cash management and reconciliations, payroll processing and taxation. Experience of financial reporting, measurement, and analysis.
• Experience of rules and regulations for non-profit organizations. Knowledge of donor financial reporting and donor procurement procedures. Experience of working in multiple foreign currencies.
• Financial and Information Technology Systems – Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office, Excel particularly. Use of accounting software, SUN Accounts system preferred.
• Experience of working in Pakistan.

Desirable:


Project Management experience
Experience gained within a volunteering INGO context and volunteering for development approach.
