CHILD SAFEGUARDING:
Level 3: the post holder will have contact with children and young people either frequently (e.g., once a week or more) or intensively (e.g., four days in one month or more or overnight) because they work country programs; or are visiting the country programs; or because they are responsible for implementing the police checking/vetting process staff.
Assistant Communications and Reporting will assist in designing and implementing the organization’s internal and external communications. The position holder will support program teams in photographing project activities and developing communication materials to ensure quality reporting to donors/stakeholders. Another main task of the position is to manage the social media campaigns (Facebook & Twitter) for the HBCC project
The position holder will develop quality communications products, including case studies, photo stories, blogs, reports, social media posts, and proposals. S/he will ensure Save the Children’s visibility through print and publication material and developing visibility materials. S/he will facilitate the process of designing and implementing advocacy and campaign initiatives. S/he will ensure compliance with to Save the Children communication policy.
KEY AREAS OF ACCOUNTABILITY :
Strategic Planning of Communications
- Assisting Development and monitoring of communications strategy and plans for projects and field offices.
- Facilitate initiatives on advocacy and campaigning on HBCC content
- Development and rolling out of communications across all channels for the organization
- Brainstorming and developing creative tools for effective communications
- Conducting the day-to-day internal and external communications and profiling initiatives of the organization.
- Ensuring the publication and promotion of organizational materials
Technical Support to SC and Partner Organizations:
- Provide technical support to field staff, program teams, and implementing partners to ensure branding compliance as per organization/donor guidelines
- Facilitating the programs in designing and implementing media campaigns
- Managing the social media campaigns related to the HBCC project

QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelors Degree in Communications, Journalism, Social Sciences or a relevant area of study.
EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS:
Minimum 1 to 2 years of working experience
Essential: Working knowledge of Adobe photoshop / Illustrator and basic video editing skills.
Desireable: Experience of working with international donors will be preferred.
