Job Purpose:

To assist Women Medical officer and Lady Health Visitor (LHV) in OPD service and to provide medicine to patients and guide them about use of medicine and participate in Medical Camps and Health Days.

Job summary:

To prepare list of medicine for procurement, issue medicine stoke from warehouse and to provide medicine to patients and promote health awareness amongst people. Maintain dispensary and store record properly as per WHO and Health Department protocol. Coordination with line Manager and other project team members and preparing daily drug sheet, prepare Daily OPD reports and Monthly consumption reports and maintain Health Information System (HIS) database. 

Relevant Experience:

Qualification: Medical Technician/ Dispenser Course

Experience: 02-3 years’ work experience in hospitals/clinics

Skill/Competencies: 

• Medical technician, Dispensing and dressing expertise
• Communication, coordination, Reporting
• Computer Skill

 Job Description:

Key Responsibilities:

• Preparing medicine purchase request and medicine indent from Stores and collecting medicines
• Maintaining and organizing medicines at dispensary cupboards and make sure of its security
• Dispensing medicines to patients according to doctor’s prescriptions and instructing patients regarding proper use of medicine.
• Keeping accurate daily record of medicines received and dispensed 9soft & hard)
• To take active part in all the community based activities
• Follow rule and approach of FIFO & FEFO ( first in Fist out  &  First Expiry , First out ) in medicine distribution
• Injecting, dressing and bandage of male patients as prescribed by doctor
• Participate in medical camps at field level
• Participate in national/international health days
• facilitate internal/external  audit, management and  donor as and when required
• Update regularly stock data on daily/weekly/monthly basis (hard & soft)
• participate in staff review and planning meetings
• Any other thematic task assigned by management.
