Job Description:

  • Assessing patients, prescription, ordering laboratory and radiology tests, interpreting results, ordering drugs
  • Compiling of Patient notes and medical reports
  • Timely referring high risk cases to other hospitals for timely management providing care to all patients.
  • Prescribing proper medicine
  • Timely referring high risk cases to other hospitals for timely management.
  • Appropriate and adequate maintenance of patient’s histories and case documentation.
  • Performing Regular duty in OPD and monitoring admitted patient in ward

Responding to emergencies in the unit or outside as necessary

  • Closely Monitoring secondary care unit utilization and increasing utilization
  • Meeting with LHB to increase service utilization

Ensuring availability of doctors and paramedics as per requirement by hiring or coordinating for CHR for reliever’s appointments

Keeping a close eye on unit’s administrative and operational expense

  • Providing technical/professional advice and contributing ideas to improve the quality service in the respective field of management.
  • Developing protocols or ensuring implementation of existing protocols and guidelines about common obstetric and gynaecological problems and their implementation and monitoring.
  • Participating in clinical and management committee meetings.
  • Helping organize new clinical programs according to the population needs.
  • Being aware of potential research initiatives
  •  Attending CPSP Supervisors training workshops.

Implement quality Assurance initiatives as per ISO 9001-2008 /2015 requirement in Clinical units with particular emphasis on the following areas: Incidence reporting, Client feedback, Patient Referral System, Patient Complaint management, Continuous Professional Development, Client satisfaction surveys and monitoring of clinical indicators.

  • Helping teach the junior medical staff in performing procedures and managing patients as a part of on job training.
  • Conducting and organizing CME programs for staff and keep them updated with latest knowledge and skills by learning through technological and other available means.
  • Monitoring and appraising performance of her direct reportees and conducting regular meetings with them as well as with nursing staff. 

Monitoring and evaluating the clinical performances of the WMO’s, Paramedical staff and conducting regular monthly (or other necessary meetings) with them Quality Improvement

Explaining results, sharing medication facts, discussing drug side effects, disease outcomes

  • By dealing with staff, patients and community members respectfully and honestly.

Remaining discreet about patient information and official related matters in public

Thorough regular meetings with staff

 

Routine Tasks:

  • Regular check-up of  Gymea & Obs patients including  general patients and provide proper treatment according to AKHS, P standards,
  • To motivate nursing staff and WMO/LMOs in secondary care unit to prove excellent service to the patient and increase service utilization in the unit
  • To ensure that established protocols are followed for patient treatments
  • To ensure that appropriate pre and post-operative care is given to all patients.
  • To perform surgeries.
  • Regular meeting with unit team to supervise unit performance, income and expenditure  

Undertake any other responsibilities as assigned by Supervisor
