Position Objectives:

The Data and Reporting Officer will work with PRCS PMER department in close coordination with PRCS and IFRC health departments. The main objective of the position is data management and analytics. S/he is responsible for compiling, organizing and analysing the PRCS Health (CDC, Programme) data under IFRC portfolio to assist in delivering optimal programme management communicating (presentation and reporting) their findings to improve programme efficiency and effectiveness.

He / She will provide technical support to PRCS Health Department and closely work with IFRC-Health team in the design/ planning, mapping, microplanning, data management (analysis and interpreting), reporting, evaluation of programmes and follow-on recommendations.

Specific Duties, Responsibilities, and Accountabilities:

Collecting, compiling, organizing and analyzing health programme data and reports under IFRC portfolio.

Quality assures imported data, commissioning and decommissioning of data sets and processing confidential data and information according to donor guidelines.

Analyse data, identifying patterns, trends, observations and recommendations to assist in delivering optimal program operations and decision making for higher management of PRCS and IFRC Health teams.

Support PRCS and IFRC health teams in data storage and data sharing methods, ensuring proper maintenance to achieve effective implementation and administrative needs and goals.

Utilize different data sources for evidence mapping of data shared to ensure consistency, reliability, and validity.

Converting data into usable information that is easy to understand by developing reports and presentations.

Produce tables, graphs, maps, and other data visualizations each month as requested by project leads using Excel, Stata, and QGIS.

Work with PRCS and IFRC health teams to make a strategic plan for data collection (inclusive mobile) for programmes covering data entry, data cleaning, data analysis, data visualization and report generating.

Deliver the training of relevant programme and Ministry of health staff on new data-collection tools and dashboards.

Lead the training of mobile phone data entry.

Assist and support health programme teams (NHQ, IFRC, PHQ, districts, Union Council, and BHU) in developing microplans by settlement and maintains in the database in Excel.

Manage and monitor the mobile phones that are purchased and distributed by IFRC/PRCS.

Maintain master databases in Excel and Drop Box every month.

Establish a buffer stock of phones in case a phone is broken or stolen.

15

Support PRCS in the establishment and implementation of data protection policies and practice.

   Perform any other work-related duties and responsibilities that may be assigned by the line-manager.

 Education.

 

Masters Degree /  16 x years of education in Statistics and or Social Sciences or other relevant field.

 

 Experience.

 

 Min 05  x years of  experience in an analytic role or Health Information Management Officer or Data officer.

 

 Skills / Knowledge.

 

  1. Technical experience in programming languages (Python, Java, C family, etc.)
  2. Experience in handling Magpi, ACASUS, ODK, Kobo or other mobile data collection applications, QGIS for mapping, and Stata for advanced data analysis, data cleaning, and data visualization.
  3. Proficiency with database programming languages such as SQL.
  4. Experience with data visualization tools (PowerPoint and Excel).
  5. Expert in producing tables, graphs, maps, infographics and other data visualizations each month as requested by program manager using Excel, Stata, and QGIS.
  6. Knowledge of data management applications.
  7. Analytical mindset with good problem-solving skills.
  8. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  9. Good interpersonal skills.
  10. Willingness to learn advance data management tools.

 

 Maximum age limit upto   30 years.

 

 Travelling:- As & when required
