Overview:

Jhpiego is an international non-profit health organization affiliated with The Johns Hopkins University, USA for more than 40 years and in over 150 countries, Jhpiego has worked to prevent the needless deaths of women and their families worldwide. Jhpiego is under Gavi COVID Delivery Support grant is mandated to implement "Reach the Unreached" An enhanced COVID-19 Vaccination Strategy to vaccinate most vulnerable and unregistered population in Pakistan to enhance COVID-19 Immunization coverage in selected district and strengthening COVID-19 vaccinations facilities through supportive supervision in Karachi and adjacent districts. The program will closely work with Provincial EPI Program and the Health Department for improving quality of COVID-19 vaccination especially in unreached and venerable and unregistered population residing in slums of two selected districts.

Jhpiego is seeking services of a M&E Officer to support the COVID-19 immunization in unreached and vulnerable population in selected areas of Karachi, the M&E officer will support in collecting data of unimmunized population in selected areas of Karachi districts with the support of vaccinator, LHWs and local CSOs. The M&E officer will support the team in data analysis and develop a strategy to reach the unimmunized population.

Responsibilities:

  • Collect and manage data collected with the support of vaccinator, LHWs, CBVs and local CSO for COVID-19 unimmunized population.
  • Develop monitoring tool for data collection.
  • Support the team for data analysis and develop strategy to reach the unimmunized population
  • Regular monitoring of the program activities through supportive supervision and monitoring.
  • Involve with health department and EPI program Sindh to collect and disseminate the information.
  • Support provincial Jhpiego team and EPI Program Sindh to implement the strategy.
  • Support program teams to draft, edit and format program documents, including deliverables such as, brochures, flyers, ads, promotional videos, slideshows
  • Assist with developing and producing documents, reports and presentations according to Jhpiego guidelines for internal program needs and externally for dissemination.
  • Develop monthly project reports and documents.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Bachelor degree in Computer science or equivalent with a relevant experience in a similar role
  • Experience of handling large data sets, handling population and health demographic data will be a plus.
  • At least 3-5 years’ experience in data collection/ management and all statistic forms
  • Data analysis and report writing skills
  • Health information system knowledge and skills
  • Computer literacy with working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel), MIS, HIS, SPSS
  • Ability to rapidly analyze and integrate diverse information from varied sources
  • Covid vaccination certificate would be desirable as per government protocols.
