Position Summary:

The incumbent will be responsible to assist HR Department in managing HR functions at field office level. Support includes but not limited to the recruitment & selection, personnel files management, health & life insurance facilitations and payroll management of the organization. The person will work as HR generalist and shall also be responsible to take lead in managing team building and wellness activities in filed offices.

Job Description:

  1. Assist in routine HR operations, ensuring compliance with Human Appeal policies and meeting all requirements and deadlines pertaining to HR in a timely manner.
  2. Responsible for attendance management of staff at field level.
  3. Facilitate the recruitment function; posting open positions on relevant mediums, longlisting, shortlisting, making interview calls, completing reference/security checks while ensuring that all documentation of the recruitment cycle is in place.
  4. Conduct orientation of new inductions after making necessary arrangements for new joiners.
  5. Update HR personnel files as per personnel file checklist and other HR related documents including volunteer’s folders, EOBI record, time sheets & leave record, and meeting minutes while ensuring confidentiality at all stages.
  6. Assist HR Manager in timely completion of mid-year reviews and annual performance appraisals of staff at field level. Also ensure timely completion of probation evaluation forms of newly inducted staff.
  7. Make sure that HR databases are updated all the time and monthly HR report is timely submitted to Country Office.
  8. Manage staff attendance and coordinate with staff for timely provision of approved leave requests and monthly timesheets for further payroll processing.
  9. Coordinate employee recognition activities such as service awards, employee-of-the month, etc. in consultation with the HR Manager.
  10. Manage employee birthday calendar and OD tracker and make sure that staff birthdays, farewells and other events are celebrated in an efficient and professional manner.
  11. Provide administrative support in management of all HRM tasks
  12. Perform other duties, as necessary and/or as requested

Qualification & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Human Resource Management or related discipline
  • 2-3 years of work experience in the field of HR Management with demonstrated experience in head hunting, audit response and C&B management;
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Word, PowerPoint, and Excel);
  • Good planning, organizational, and analytical skills;
  • Ability to prioritize workload whilst maintaining a high standard of work;
  • Able to take initiative and team work;
  • Ability to effectively liaise with key external clients, and other relevant stakeholders;
  • Ability to work in a complex humanitarian environment with multiple tasks, short deadlines and intense pressure to perform;
  • Fluency in local languages along with good English knowledge
